Review: Shea Moisture Jamaican Black Castor Oil Strengthen, Grow & Restore Edge Treatment

About the Product:
With Shea Butter, Peppermint & Keratin
Jamaican Black Castor Oil
Sulfate Free & Color Safe

Hey Tribe! I discovered this product in Cherry’s and was excited about giving it a try because my edges got a bit thinner than usual. It smells okay. Not overpowering and its texture has a jelly-like consistency that is a bit liquidy (kinda like Jello if you were to take it out of the fridge before it set). I would not recommend this product as an edge control or for slick backs. I like the product. It works for me but it is mainly for the growth, strengthening and restoration of your edges and works best as a treatment rather than a styler. It can be a little greasy so I use just a small amount of the pomade daily after styling, sometimes every other day and get best results when I use a bit at nights and tie down with a scarf. It leaves my edges very soft and moisturized. It will treat your edges while you sleep and you’ll awaken to super soft and smooth edges!
